At the moment the only way to make money is to sell gold or sell to other players. This limits the increase in money a lot. So I have 2 suggestions to hopefully increase your money gain without completely ruining the economy.
My first suggestion would be a Blacksmith that buys fully repaired Gold Tools. This makes getting golden armor drops from mobs more useful and thus being able to get money from your mob kills. I was thinking it would be how many ingots used in the item x 80 so you don't get everything back from it but you still gain a bit of money from doing so. The only golden items I can think off that you can get from monster drops are Golden Helmets, Chests, Leggings, Boots and Swords.
My other suggestion is that there is a Junk Merchant that buys every single item for 0.2 Gold a piece this would be a good way to keep your own storage low with only the good stuff you want and getting money out of it. I think 0.2 is a good price because if you think of cobblestone you get tons of that quite easily so for 0.2 a piece it's not a lot but at least your getting something for stuff that people want. All the other items that you think are more important you can sell at shops to other players so this doesn't mean a diamond is worth 0.2 gold because the Junk Merchant says so he's just there so you can literally get paid to get rid of your trash.
Maybe later on down the line there could be a way to see all the items the junk merchant has purchased and you can buy off him for like $5 a item if someone puts something you find useful in there.
I also have another suggestions but it's more a limited time shop but sells more than 1 item at a time if you want. I was thinking a auction where it costs you to put things up for auction but the whole server can buy at any location. You could do enchanted tools for example and in the auction it says what's it's durability and what enchants on it, this can all be shown in chat and you could turn the auction in your chat on and off with /showauction On/Off. You could also do stacks of items not singularly selling so a stack of netherrack for $200. There would be a minimum of 5 minutes up time with that item and a max of 10 minutes so that other people can use it but costs more money the more time it is up there.
Would like to here some feedback of what everyone things
